FAQ
Where exactly do I park?
There is a parking lot on Marine Dr W, right along the west side of Hudson County Park. From there you can walk to either the Futsal Court (5 PM sessions — head toward the basketball courts) or the turf fields in the baseball area (all other sessions).
What time should we arrive?
We recommend arriving 5–10 minutes before your session starts. This gives your child time to get their gear on, warm up, and be ready when the coach begins.
What age groups are in this program?
The Spring 2026 season includes players born between 2010 and 2022 — organized into groups by birth year. Younger players (born 2019–2022) meet at 5 PM or on Saturday mornings at 9 AM. Older groups meet at 6:15 PM or 7:30 PM, plus Saturday morning options.
What happens if it rains?
Sessions on turf fields often continue in light rain. In the case of cancellations due to severe weather, you will be notified through the program's usual communication channel. Always check before heading out on stormy days.
Does my child need to be in full kit / uniform?
No formal uniform is required — just comfortable athletic clothes and appropriate footwear (sneakers or cleats). Make sure they bring their soccer ball and water bottle every session.
How many sessions per week does my child have?
It depends on the package you enrolled in — options included 1x, 2x, or 3x per week. Use the Schedule Finder at the top of this page to see all sessions available for your child's age group. Your child attends the specific days you enrolled them in.
Can I watch the session from the sidelines?
Yes! Parents are welcome to watch from the sidelines. Please respect the coaching space and let the coaches run the session — kids often focus better when parents cheer from a little distance.
Is this program affiliated with BYSA?
Yes — this is Bayonne's School of Soccer, operating under BYSA (Bayonne Youth Soccer Association). All enrolled players have signed the BYSA Communicable Disease Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement as part of registration.

What happens if a session is cancelled due to weather?
Weather cancellations will always be made up — we schedule make-up sessions to ensure your child gets the full program. You will be notified of the make-up date and time through the usual communication channels.
Can my child make up a personally missed session?
For individual make-ups (sessions missed for personal reasons), we unfortunately cannot guarantee a spot due to space constraints at each session. Please email programs@bysa.com and we will do our best to accommodate you.
